From Search Console: Performance report → pick your date range → Export → Download CSV, for the Queries tab or the Pages tab. Do this once for each period you want to compare, then paste both below (or upload the .csv files directly).

How to export from Search Console: Property → Performance → set your date range (use two equal-length, non-overlapping ranges, e.g. two separate 28-day windows) → Export → Download CSV. Compare Queries exports against Queries exports, and Pages against Pages, not one of each. One real quirk worth knowing: Search Console's per-query rows never fully add up to its own total clicks and impressions, Google withholds low-volume "anonymized" queries from the row-level breakdown while still counting them in the aggregate. Why did a keyword disappear entirely instead of showing a drop?

A keyword only shows up in a Search Console export at all if it earned at least one impression during that date range. If it earned zero impressions in Week B, it won't appear anywhere in that export, so this tool has no data to compare it against and lists it as "Lost" rather than showing a partial drop. The reverse is true for "New" keywords: they had zero impressions in Week A, so there was nothing to diff against.

Does a lower or higher position number mean better?

Lower is better. Position 1 is the top result. In the results table, a positive position change (shown in green) means the average position number went down, i.e. the keyword or page moved up in the rankings. A negative change (red) means it moved down.

Can I compare Pages exports instead of Queries?

Yes. Export the Pages tab from the Performance report the same way, for both periods, and paste both into this tool. It's auto-detected from the header row, so the same tool handles either report type; it just can't mix one Queries export with one Pages export in the same comparison.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing, comparison, and rendering all happen in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste or upload here is sent to a server, logged, or stored.
