These are estimates, not guarantees. The numbers use average organic click-through rates across many sites. Your real CTR depends heavily on query intent, your title and description, and SERP features like AI Overviews, featured snippets, and ads, which can cut clicks substantially even at a good position. Treat this as a directional "is this worth pursuing?" check, not a traffic promise.

Where does this CTR data come from?

This tool uses a blended organic CTR-by-position curve based on published 2024–2026 studies, including Backlinko's analysis of ~4 million results (position 1 ≈ 27.6%) and First Page Sage's meta-analysis. The curve below reflects a "clean" desktop SERP. Real-world CTR runs lower when AI Overviews or other SERP features are present, recent studies report AI Overviews cutting top-position CTR by roughly 30–58%.
