How to read these scores
The Flesch Reading Ease score runs from 0 to 100; higher means easier to read. The Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level estimates the U.S. school grade needed to understand the text on first read. Most general-audience web content aims for a reading ease in the 60s-70s (roughly 8th-9th grade), while highly technical or academic writing often sits lower without that being a problem, the right level depends entirely on your actual audience.
